Love Lasts Forever
“Love Lasts Forever” is based on the song “Creepy Basement” of Nate Gerry, which is also based on another song of Debs and Artie. When these lyrics about a dream of a house and family reached me, I couldn’t help myself and turn it into something sarcastic – even topping Nate’s version. This song is part of my album “Quarterlife Blues”.
You are so hideous
In a seductive way
My head is throbbing
My heart is on a string
You’re just so lovely
In your plastic poncho
Uuuh
Let’s move out, out of the city
Into a little house
Have some kids, and a dog, and a cat
I’ll call you my spouse
There’ll be a basement
Coated in spiderwebs
We could stay forever and ever
Even after death
You’re look so lovely
In your off-white garment
Uuuh
Let’s move out, out of the city
Into a little house
Have some kids, and a dog, and a cat
I’ll call you my spouse
Let’s move out, out of the city
Into a little house
Have some kids, and a dog, and a cat
I’ll call you my spouse
