Haunted
“Haunted” is a big songwriting collaboration where everyone of The Verge has participated. Instantly falling into loneliness and despair, the narrator searches for the culprit. That’s why a ghost appears as a shade. “Haunted” is part of our debut album.
Across the country
among the open roads
The population seem
electric charge overloads
Hanging around,
wasting their time
With false promisses
carrying their lifes to the ground
Oh…. Oh….
All lifes are the same
Some uneventful ones,
some flavoured with fame
The image in the water
mirroring your face
Reminds me of a time
without disgrace
I thought I’d be
a lucky one
I thought I’d be a precious beeing
like a son of sun
Oh… Oh…
All lives are the same
And the worst bit of all
Is that mine is as well…
It seemed so weird
But true as well
All things that I feared
Were prophecies I dispelled
What if I’ve been haunted
Haunted (by you now)
What if I’ve been dreaming
Dreaming of your thoughts
What if I’ve been haunted
Haunted (by your thoughts)
What if I’ve been dreaming
Dreaming of you being here
I took you for granted
But now I am blunted
Thought I’d be idle
But I cannot make it undone
You know I’ve been haunted
Haunted, haunted…
Haunted by you
