The long wait for the Bandcamp Friday is finally over! Today, September 6, is a Bandcamp Friday. This means that artists get full revenue. Time to shop your favourite music!
For a very long time, the first Friday of each month offered a special promotion on Bandcamp: Artists get 100% of the revenue. But when I released my 20th Anniversary remix album, the Bandcamp Friday turned into an irregular rhythm, and we all kept saving stuff to our wishlists instead of purchasing them. So I wanted to remind you that today is a Bandcamp Friday. Have a look into my Bandcamp profile or support your favourite musicians. I cannot say it enough, but Bandcamp is the fairest platform at the moment, and the revenue is absolutely no comparison to streaming or mp3 purchases on Amazon, Apple, YouTube or similar services.
