Open Ended Cue
The title “Open Ended Cue” is based on the homophon cue and queue. These pair of lyrics can be interpreted as talk between two friends. The chorus section is written from the guy who seeks advice, whereas the verses are the advice he receives. One person interprets life as an open-ended queue whereas the other person sees the changes.
And I
Didn’t want you to go
Didn’t want to know
Didn’t want to leave you on your own
And I
Didn’t want you to go
Didn’t want to know
Didn’t want to leave you on your own
Hey you,
don’t give it a try
cause there won’t be another chance
for saying goodbye
When the clock ticks away,
There goes the day
Proposing to leave
All things we believed
Life is an open-ended queue
When it’s repetition ends,
we don’t know what to do
We are one with our hearts
and one with this system
And that’s the reason
why you should listen
Believe me,
even it’s not understandable
I could make nearly all manageable
Don’t leave it
cause it’ll all come back to you
When you don’t leave her,
You’ll be insecure
Before you ask me
for something to do
Ask yourself
cause it all depends on you
Hold that swing
it began to ring
Hold the time
and begin to sing…
And I
Didn’t want you to go
Didn’t want to know
Didn’t want to leave you on your own
There is so much more to do
So much more you didn’t know
Life’s an open-ended cue
Believe me,
it’ll come back to you
When you don’t leave her,
You’ll remain in the queue
It takes some time,
say a couple of weeks
It returns and you’ll meet
someone who seeks
Time is
something incomprehensible
The only thing you can do
is to be less sensible
Believe in yourself
And into the system,
And you should listen
You need some time
good advice,
a friends help and strength
to get out of this crisis
So let me be your helping hand
It doesn’t matter
how much time I have to lend
Before you ask me
for something to do
Ask yourself
cause it all depends on you
Hold that swing
it began to ring
old the time cause
life is an open-ended cue
And I
Didn’t want you to go
Didn’t want to know
Didn’t want to leave you on your own
There is so much more to do
So much more you didn’t know
Life’s an open-ended cue
And I
Didn’t want you to go
Didn’t want to know
Didn’t want to leave you on your own
There is so much more to do
So much you didn’t know
Life’s an open-ended cue
