The Verge - September

“September” is a fictional love story taking place in September. The story is written in retrospective, but the final showdown happens in the present. It’s a song from our debut album “Something you did not know”. There are so many interesting aspects in this song, that I’ve written a blog post about it.

Your dark brown eyes are reminding me
Of the way you put effects on me
They remind me of someone on overdose
It’s really seldom that you come close

Your curls of copper are reminding me
Of the manner you just used to be
They carry signs and marks of decay
Please stay, please don’t go astray

It’s September the seventeenth
The day you wore blue jeans
Yeah, you dunno what it means
I remind the seventeenth

It’s September the twenty-first
My heart feels awesome thirst
Seems like my heart is not the only bursting
On twenty-first

Your dark brown clothes are reminding me
Of the manner you just lied to me
Seems like your addiction makes you tremble
But I adore the way you shamble

Your crooked nose is reminding me
Of the manner you ignored me
Every single smile that makes you shiver
Flood your emotions river

It’s September the twenty-third
I’ve seen something absurd
You kissed a guy, I lost my words
Fuck September the twenty-third

It’s September the twenty-third
It seems like you are a nerd
Said you never meant to hurt
the worst lie I ever heard

I’m looking back, I twist my neck
You’re looking in, I’m looking out
I’d like to scream you like to shout
But you just want to make me doubt

I’m looking back, you twist your neck
Is this the way you show respect
I’m looking in, you’re looking out
There is no time for awful doubts

Sometimes, seems like you’re love is real
But you don’t care for what I feel
Sometimes there are things I liked to dare
But you just say “For all I care”

It’s September the thirty-first
Inexistent days are cursed
Watch the streets that I traversed
see how my pain’s immersed

You’re looking back, I twist my neck
Why don’t you show fucking respect
It makes me scream, it makes me shout
But you just want to make me doubt

I’m looking back, you twist your neck
I see this awful guy you grabbed
I’m looking in, you’re looking out
There is no time for awful doubts

You’re looking back, I twist my neck
“I caused some stuff I just regret
I paid this guy I like to grab
So let me show my real respect”
