Angel In Jeans – A song for everyday heroes
My new pop song “Angel in Jeans” is dedicated to everyday heroes. They are invisible to most of us, though society would not work without them. The title is old, but it took me years to write some good lyrics and arrange a proper song for an important message.
When I wrote the lyrics, I felt like I had something to say about society in general. People are too busy with their own lives. It is not self-evident, that there are people who share their knowledge, money or time to help others. Most people only realize after a crisis or hardship. This song is a big “Thank You” for the ones who fight for a greater good and believe in a better society. You don’t have to be rich or educated to set an example. Be an “Angel in Jeans” and help the society in your own way.
Musically, “Angel In Jeans” started as a piano piece. But the more synthesizers I added, the more it longed for something special. I am happy that Caitlin provided her angelic voice that fits right into the instrumentation. Garry spiced the song up with his funk guitars. Something unexpected that works very well! Working with you both has been a pleasure.
As usual, you can listen to the song on SoundCloud and YouTube. It will be part of my forthcoming album “Going My Way”. The release date is not set yet, but chances are good, that the album will be available on Bandcamp this Summer. Please follow my there if you don’t want to miss the announcement!
